Mega Offers 50GB of Storage for Free

Want more cloud storage space? Of course you do, Kim Dotcom, the founder of Megaupload, has announced the arrival of its cloud storage service, Mega, and it comes with a whopping 50GB of free storage. Mega may seem like your typical cloud storage service for now, you can upload files onto it, get the direct link to share it and all the basic stuffs like that, but Kim Dotcom has got a very promising future for Mega. Listed out in a blog post is Mega’s development roadmap that shows some of the future enhancements like Google Doc-style editing service, instant messaging, mobile access, and more. If 50GB is too little for you, you can also chose to upgrade to 500GB with 1TB bandwidth, 2TB of space with 4TB bandwidth and 4TB of space for 8TB bandwidth at €9.99, €19.99 and €29.99 a month, respectively. Right now while the service may be launched and available to the public worldwide, it still looks a bit buggy. Firstly, it appears that there isn’t a link for you to retrieve your password. For some reason Mega isn’t allowing me to sign in with my credentials, I’m almost 100% sure that my password is correct but it keeps giving me a wrong password error and I can’t do anything about it. Second of all, I’m not sure if it’s my connection problem but it can’t seem to upload my files properly, I need to cancel the task and try again. Of course, it could be due to the traffic it’s getting right now and how everyone’s rushing to sign up for their 50GB of storage space. Try it out and let us know if you’re having any problems.
